Terms of Service

1. Who we are

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and kiteHouse Tutoring ("kiteHouse", "we", "us"), which operates this tutoring portal and the related peer-to-peer K–8 tutoring services (the "Service").

2. Acceptance

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are signing up on behalf of a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian.

3. The Service

kiteHouse provides scheduling, communication, session management, and billing tools for 1:1 peer tutoring sessions. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes and do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent or tutor account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, without limitation: using it for unlawful purposes, fraud or spam, infringing intellectual property, harassing other users, uploading malware, scraping, probing, or otherwise interfering with security or normal operation.

6. Intellectual property

kiteHouse retains all rights in the Service, including software, branding, and documentation. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is in good standing.

7. Payments and billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. kiteHouse Tutoring is the seller of record for all orders and handles billing, refunds, and customer support directly. Payment, billing, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by our Refund Policy. Any applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST is the responsibility of the buyer where required by local law.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 6 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such limitation is not permitted by law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
